This was very easy to go in to because we had a clear understanding of these term from are AS course. After we gathered our footage we began to edit it, it was my first time editing however the software was easy to use and really simple. The software we used was iMovie HD on our Mac Computers.
Here are some of the editing and shot type we used
Establishing Shot
This is a B-roll (establishing shot) that we used to let the audience know where the meeting took place.
Cut on Motion
We used this type of edit to try and make the editing cut look more real and unnoticeable, this is another example
The ball exists the shot from the right and then enters the next shot from the left hand side, this was to distract the audiences eye's from noticing the editing cuts.
Feedback Lesson
The following day we had a feedback lesson were we receive feedback from the other student in our class and also are teacher. This was a very useful and effective lesson where we could see where we when wrong and how we could improve it. This will definitely come in handy when we come together in our group and shot our horror trailer. We took down note on how we can improve on are filming and editing techniques and how we can make are video look much more professional. When we shoot our horror trailer. We also learn new media concept that we could consider when we start filming.
We recieved very convenient feedback from the class, things like the use of written dialog. There was no script therefore the dialog dragged on and made no sence amost, from 00:54 and onward shows clearly the absence of a script.
Another thing was the use of the tri-pod (ask sir about this section) nonetheless we took all the advice on board.
